Love the Adventure

My favorite podcast Adventures in Scifi Publishing won a 2008 Parsec Award for Best Writing-related Podcast. Congratulations to Shaun Farrell and Sam Wynns, who make a great team. If you’re a Scifi or fantasy fan and you’re not listening to this podcast–shame on you!

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that Mur Lafferty also won two awards for Best Speculative Fiction Story Novella and Long Form, respectively. Mur’s killed it in the last nine months.

And just so you know, I don’t say congrats because Shaun and co. share the love. But they do share the love. I also learned last week that I was the grand prize winner in his and Mur Lafferty’s “Keys to Publishing Contest.” Being numero uno means I’ll see five well-regarded Scifi books find their way to my house shortly.

Though I told Shaun that the keys themselves were gift enough, I’m eagerly awaiting the books. More ammo for my monthly book recommendations, which I’ve neglected lately. But no fear, I’ll offer a combo wine and book tour next week, titled “Off the Vine.”
