For those of you who like to mix comedy and superheroes, you should definitely check out Mur Lafferty’s Playing For Keeps Novel when it’s launched on Amazon.com Monday, Aug. 25.
As part of the launch, Mur sponsored a contest called Do you want to see me dance? A couple week’s back I promised a video and I included my submission in today’s post. Each entry is to be between 20 and 30 seconds with a specified portion of Beatnik Turtle’s Playing For Keeps theme song as the audio backdrop.
A little about it. First. As promised, I’m not it. I had two up-and-coming actors who formed their own Dynamic Duo Productions for the filming. Becca supplied wardrobe and I was particularly fond of my two-year-old daughter’s costume, as both hero name and ensemble match. Finally, I interpreted a particular scene from the book with my son “G” playing Ian from Mur’s story. If you know anything about the book, Ian’s power and the setting of the video fit.
